Samsung has released a new software update to a bunch of its older high-end smartphones. The new security update is rolling out to the Galaxy S10 series in European countries and the Galaxy S20 FE in Russia.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ bears firmware version G97xFXXSGHVI1. The update is available in Greece, Poland, Switzerland, Southeast Europe, Italy, the Baltic region, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Romania, the Nordic countries, Portugal, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia.
The Galaxy S20 FE is getting the new update with firmware version G780FXXUADVI1 in Russia. The September 2022 security patch brings fixes for over a couple of dozen security vulnerabilities. The new Samsung update might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy S10 series user in Europe or a Galaxy S20 FE user in Russia, you can download and install the new software update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
