Many Galaxy S22 customers in the USA are facing issues that supposedly cropped up after the device received the September 2022 update. Customers have brought the problem to light through the official Community forums and Reddit. They claim that the issue prevents them from receiving messages, thus rendering communications unusable until they reboot the Galaxy S22.
A quick reboot is always recommended after applying a new firmware update. However, according to affected customers, restarting the Galaxy S22 only provides a temporary solution. The connectivity issue reoccurs after a while, forcing users to reboot their phones several times a day. (via PunikaWeb)
The problem might be related to USA carriers rather than the Galaxy S22
Although most user complaints seem to originate from Galaxy S22 customers on Verizon’s network, others have said that the problem occurs on other carrier networks, including T-Mobile and AT&T. The issue seemingly affects the standard messaging app from Samsung as well as Google’s solution.
Affected users say they can wait for text messages for hours to no avail. It’s only after they reboot their Galaxy S22s that they receive all the unread messages in bulk. The problem has been going on for more than a week. Neither Samsung nor the mobile carriers have addressed it, but a firmware update will likely fix the issue. In other news, Verizon recently rolled out another firmware update for the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the USA, but customers aren’t happy with the addition of bloatware. The recent update included two pre-installed mobile games.
